They say a woman’s work is never done and this last week I would have had to agree.  It seemed like I was never going to get these costumes finished in time for the local Gala Day Parade…I spent every night sewing and I still wasn’t really finished come Saturday morning…luckily the kids weren’t too bothered about the finish.

And here we all are looking a bit silly before we set off to embarrass ourselves further in a public place.  I didn’t make the bunny and scarecrow costumes…they were dug up out of the stores.

The theme was ‘Old MacDonald Had a Farm’ for which the playgroup (that’s us and several other silly looking people) won first prize.

And one for luck…

That’s my favourite picture of the day…if you look carefully you can see that Old MacDonald had a red turtle as well!

  1. Your children are adorable.

Al looks like Ed Norton if he were playing ’scarecrow’ in the 2007 recreation of The Wizard of 8 mile, co-starring Eminem. It is the recreation of a modern day Dorothy and “her baby daddy” in her journey to become a successful rap battle artist in the city of Detroit. The wizard could be played by Jay-Z and Brittany Spears would be the wicked witch of the East. The rest of the rolls are up for grabs.
